Fiber Optic Cables and WEEE
WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. WEEE is a European Community directive for the disposal of electronic waste. Basically, the law states that the responsibility for e-waste be put on the electronic and electrical product manufacturers. The directive states that the waste should be disposed from households free of charge and also that it be disposed of or recycled in an ecological-friendly manner.
Combined with RoHS, WEEE became European law in 2003.
