Fibre Cable
Fibre cable is Cable made of thin strands of optically pure glass. Fibre cables are composed of the core, cladding, and Buffer coating. In instances where fibre Cables are bundled together, they are protected by the cables outer Coating called the jacket.
Some advantages of fibre cable over copper cable include:
- Fully resistant to EMI and RFI
- Higher bandwidth
- Use less power
- Non-flammable
- Less signal degradation
- Small diameter
- More suitable for longer distance Data transmissions
