Local Area
An FCC Local Area consists of at least one county and may consist of several counties or parts of counties. The Local Areas are defined in the State EAS Plan. The LECC (Local Emergency Communications Committee) and the SECC (State Emergency Communications Committee) may revise the boundaries of any Local Area.
