Macrobending Loss
Macrobending Loss is Optical Loss that occurs due to a large bend in the cable. Using quadruply clad Fiber can help avoid Macrobending loss.
In general, larger bends (over approximately 3 inches) do not create a significant amount of attenuation. Smaller macrobends have a greater effect over longer lengths.
