Microbending Loss
Microbending Loss is Transmission loss that occurs in optical fibers caused by packaging processes; it is considered a power-coupling effect from the guided Modes to the Radiation modes.
Using a Doubly Clad Fiber can halp you avoid Microbending loss. Microbends are detected using sensors.
