Nonlinear Scattering
Direct conversion of a photon from one Wavelength to one or more other wavelengths.
Note 1: In an optical fiber, nonlinear Scattering is usually not important below the threshold irradiance for stimulated nonlinear scattering. Note 2: Examples of nonlinear scattering are Raman and Brillouin scattering.
